FAQ

Q: Do you accept books for review?

A: Yes! But only if they meet certain criteria:

  • Age group: young adult and new adult (Note: I’m very picky about new adult).
  • Genre: I read a variety of genres, including but not limited to contemporary, fantasy (both high fantasy and urban fantasy) and science fiction (especially dystopian). I’m a huge fan of romance. I DO NOT accept nonfiction, horror, erotica or books containing strong religious themes.
  • Format: I am more likely to accept physical books (both ARCs and finished copies) than ebooks because ebooks tend to pile up quickly. I only accept ebooks in epub format. I tend to prioritize ARCs, so books that have already been published tend to take longer for me to review.

Q: What should I expect from a review?

A: Honesty.

The review, which will be posted on my blog and Goodreads, will be based on my honest opinion of the book. Yes, that means I may post a negative review, maybe even a DNF review. Frankly, because I am so careful about accepting review books, I seldom post negative reviews for books that were sent to me.

Q: Do you do guest posts, interviews, giveaways, cover reveals, etc.?

A: Just send me an e-mail. I’d be happy to discuss it with you.

If I am not familiar with your (the author’s) work, I would like the option of requesting a digital or physical copy of the novel prior to accepting/declining your request.
